The use case
In Hungary, a government-owned book wholesaler company is supplying public libraries with all books. This same company is also the exclusive supplier of textbooks to schools (as textbooks are given to students for free). The company has a wide range of books, and libraries / schools have their budget to select what they order.
The company wanted a procurement portal for two purposes:
- To automate product listing, and changes in product meta data.
- To make communication with suppliers about orders and shipments easier.
The solution
We developed a web portal, where suppliers can sign in to manage their tasks.
- They can list new products by entering or uploading the necessary product data and images.
- They can update product data of their existing product portfolio.
- Procurement orders are sent to suppliers via the portal, and they can modify the quantity they can provide on item level.
- Suppliers can enter or upload information about the transports, as well as uploading the copy of the delivery note.
- Suppliers get notified when their deliveries had beeen received, and the verified quantities on item level.
The result
The solution has been used successfully for years.
